General Description of Archive | This is an online archive or CBC and Radio-Canada's video and audio (Tv, radio, movies, podcasts, etc) recordings. There are documentaries, TV shows, TV clips, Radio shows, Radio clips to browse. On the main page, there is a keyword search bar, as well as Featured, Recommended, Programs, On this Day, Great Inverviews, Most Popular clips, For Teachers and Guess Who? categories with featured clips. |
Description of archive history or URL | Established in 2002, the archive collects over 12,000 online radio and television clips. The site has won the prestigious Prix Italia, along with other international awards. It is the largest online archive in Canada, and among the biggest in the world. It contains recordings for over 70 years of CBC programming. It attrachts over 600,000 visits monthly, and has no advertisements on the site. |

JavaScript is required in order to view or listen to the material. Depending on the browser, Adobe Flash may need to be enabled as well. |
